If you're gonna radius the rear fender wells, just do it! Don't use the hokey ass Nomad or any other style openings, somewhat crude is good! ;)

I know you probably have the wheel welds determined , if not many years ago , we used 65 -66 Mustang fronts on a 210 Wagon . Seemed to work , nice

No all he had was a 4 door sitting in front of the wagon. It's been there so long, that the wheels are actually rusted off of it! He told me he bought it for $10 in the early 70's

Yeah I figure I'll find the proper template, like a big tire, hold it in place and mark it with chalk, cut the shit out of it. Pull the wheelhouse to the quarter and weld it up ;)

I did this 57, cut the rear, used the duck bill pliers and rolled it out  20190426_165154.jpg

Hey Lloyd, really liked the El Camino build so I’ve subscribed to this one. Can’t wait to see this old car back on the road.

Let me get this correct. The gentlemen Jarrell, aged 75, is going to pull the engine and remove the bucket seats and then you are going to ride over with your car trailer hook to the back of the fire truck, on company time and have Jarrell push the 55 onto your trailer and tie it down, while you sit in the fire truck with the AC and radio going full blast, because you might get a call. I would give it more than a few weeks. HA HA.

Well, I'll be stopping by this fall, looking forward to seeing the new place. Just noticed the upper radiator support, classic! There must be an easy way to make the center removable while still holding things tight and square.
Hope the seller gets the hay cut so you can get started. *Also a big fan of endless lines & freak drops, plus all the cool '60s custom paint styles. It'll be a no jive '55!

Well it would be, but I've ordered about $5000 worth of parts and they haven't showed up yet

I’m sure you asked him, but if not.
Get the car to your place, pull the engine out and take it back to him.
Might make things easier and let you get an idea of what you’re working with.

I offered. Wasn't an option for him. I didn't argue. I was happy he let me on the property, let alone sold me his old car ;)

I hope at 75 I could cut hay, then pull an engine out!

Hey Man, not to change the subject, but I didn't see a VIN tag on the A-Pillar. Is that going to be a problem for you later down the line?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that would be 1954, 1955, 1956, and 1957.

This will be a sweet car!

Was it originally a delivery? Are you planning to keep it a delivery or go with windows?

Well I have no clue what you're talking about. Maybe you need to have your meds evaluated. The man that i bought the car from has a building full of hotrods, and he still gets out and works on them, and drives them. His daily drivers are a 57 Ford with a 302 4spd, and a 69 el camino. He refused to allow me to pull the engine, if that's what you're trying to insinuate. If you have nothing to add, other than bullshit, click on my avatar thing and then hit ignore. I don't need your shit

Coilover shocks, need to order a set. Give me a recommendation on spring rate. 250lbs? 300? I was kinda thinking 300lb, but I thought I'd ask for another opinion
