Very sorry for your loss. I hope you return to read these posts and understand that he was among friends here and that anyone such as yourself who enjoys cars like a late model Vette and a 64 Lincoln is welcome here too.

As long as someone remembers your name, you are never truly gone. Condolences on the loss of your lifetime partner, and thank you for letting us know. So many drop off and we never know why we don’t hear from them again.

Sorry for your loss. Your husband was a lucky man to have a wife that supports his addiction to this life style. If you still have the car drive it when you go to visit him or have someone drive you in it to visit him. He will be smiling down to see the person and thing he loved visiting him.

    Gone From My Sight
    by Henry van Dyke
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side, spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."
    Gone where?
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast, hull and spar as she was when she left my side. And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me -- not in her. And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone," there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"
    And that is dying...

@Still Kickin My wife and I send our condolences. My spouse supports my hobby just as you did yours. It's truly a blessing to make those memories together. Hopefully you can continue to enjoy that '48, and may you be blessed with great memories each time you do.
