Well, a friend of mine helped me figure out the overdrive issue in the 49 ford I got from my dad, and it's now functional via toggle switch. So, I did what anyone else would do. I went to a cruise night with it. Ran good. Overdrive worked like a champ. Next up is a good distributor with mechanical advance so it'll really run good. Your Dad was a man of taste. Great looking car, wheels and stance is just right.

Once the distributor is installed, I plan on daily driving it weather permitting. Hotrods are meant to be driven.

Thank you. It still needs some work as in the front springs have collapsed due to being heated to lower the car. So a pair of aerostar springs will be getting installed, all 4 shocks are worn out, a pair of 1 or 2 inch blocks in the rear, and the maroon wheels will be getting powder coated beige. I will be getting another set of wheels and getting them powder coated a lime green, with wide Whitewalls, and a set of 56 olds flipper hub caps. Just like this 50 convertible in the picture. No it's not. But still a rowdy aluminium headed 409 backed by a 4 speed and a 4.56 gear. If you look closely, you can just make out the chemical city coupe lurking in the garage

The Shoe Box itself does as it was his baby. The chemical City coupe not so much. But I still plan on getting it out as well
