Folks Of Interest Gene Winfields “care giver” problems

you would think a man like Gene Winfield would have a long list of close friends looking out for him.

 

Damn. Gene lived down the holler from us. Getting up there in age... Ian R lives around those parts, I think. he could crack some heads for Gene...Just kidding Ian...

 

Funny story about Gene...We used to go down to his car show at his ranch.. Everyone was waiting on Gene to start, where is Gene???

he was in the back with my 6 yr old kid and her friend, on his belly in the dirt, playing matchbox cars with them. True story...

 

Saw this on FB just now. The Traditional Radical Kustoms group has a post by someone named Marty saying that Gene is in bad shape. Hope he pulls through. And that the "caregiver' disappears.

 

I talked to her a few times through messager trying to get some shirts I ordered. She threw up some sketchy vibes and watching this all unfold over the last year or so through Genes instagram (that she runs) it's kinda been creepy seeing how she has fully taken over his life and coaches him on what to say while filming.
I am not personal friends with Gene but meeting him when I was around 14 and spending about 45 minutes sitting with him at his booth BSing about cars at one of the Seattle rod & custom shows is one of my favorite car guy memories I have.
If I had to pick a car guy hero it would definitely be Gene!

I hope she meets someone in lock up who is creative when it comes to making things out of other things.....

The clues were there , sickening it came to this.

 

What the hell is wrong with people?

 

Does anyone have an address where we could send him a get well card so he knows he is being thought about?

 

I noticed when Bad Chad started to talk to Gene and asked where he was staying and maybe do dinner ,she butted right in and shut him down,in knew then she wasn't right

 

Figured she was scum from the start. Wish all the best to Gene and his health

 

Oh man...hoping for the best for Gene.

 

Everyone here has Gene's best interests at heart, I'm sure. Obviously, we need to wait to see what the details are of this situation. The involvement of authorities will generate reports. Until we get the real story, let's just keep Gene in our thoughts and wish the best for him.

 

I am sad to read this has happened. I hate to point out this happens every day to seniors in care facilities and with in home care as well.

 

Prayers for a full recovery.

 

Hope his son will take care of Gene as he will be the most logical caretaker.
Hope Gene will be alright but with his age recovery is not easy.

 

We’re all hoping gene is ok and gets through this,we all knew she was bad news but didn’t think she would lower herself to this,get well soon gene

 

Just fkn heartbreaking...all the best to Gene for a speedy recovery.

My Instagram was blown up when I checked it earlier... I'm in shock, Gene is such a decent person and a living idol to most of us.

Met with Gene 2 different times/2 different shows—once in Houston at Autorama and once at LoneStar Roundup in Austin. What a gem of a man—willing to chat,very personable and “lights” up talking about Flatheads and Bonneville. I hope his caretaker suffers the entire wrath of punishment that she apparently is guilty of mistreating such a warm sweet person that Gene is!!!

 

Well, maybe this will finally solve his problem.

This thread will be filled with anger against her, as it should be, but the important thing is for those close to him to keep her away if and when she gets released.
