It is my understanding that the 56 olds "flipper" hubcaps will not work on the factory 49 ford shoebox steel wheels. What wheels do I need to get in order to use them? Please and thank you! Picture of hubcap for attention. Screenshot_20240706_212800_Google.jpg

Is the merc lug pattern the same as my shoebox ford?

  4. Late sixties through the 80s f series pickup should work if the original wheels won't

  5. Don’t think so
Should be 5x4.5 for the ford
    Merc is 5x5.5
    have you tried em yet?
    Are yours stock wheels?
    15s or 16s

  6. Google said 5.5" for Ford. If Google is wrong I'll change my donor suggestion to 70s full-size car lol

  7. Cars changed to the 5x4.5 pattern
    16x4.5 and15x5 wheels were available
The trucks and mercs kept the 5x5.5 bolt pattern
