I just heard that dates were published for 2024, but I don’t have social media so I haven’t been able to confirm. Can anyone confirm or deny it’s definitely happening this year? And if so, did they also confirm that 2022 tickets will be honored?
Just a thought to this.... I attended and was disappointed to have it cancelled too, but it was not by the choice of the promoters. Our unused ticket prices paid were trivial compared to the losses of the promoters. I also traveled across the country to attend and incurred that cost too. I commend them for even attempting to do it again.
I fully understand that the event was cancelled due to weather and that the town shut it down, not the promotors. The wind was so bad on Friday that the sand was whipping you in the face. By the time the cancellation was announced on Saturday it was no surprise. I don’t, nor did I ever expect to get a refund for my tickets, however I do 100% expect my 2022 tickets to be honored for 2024. I’m sure they had event insurance. You pretty much can’t do any public event like this or concerts, etc without insurance. Have you ever bought concert tickets for a concert that got cancelled for any reason???? Every time they honor the tickets for the rescheduled event.
It’s happening. I’m racing this year as well. Getting cancelled due to weather sucks for racing but didn’t do anything to slow down the party that went nonstop that whole weekend in 2022.
