Just broke in my 270 hemi ran it for 2o min during that time noticed hearing pushrod noise. decide to change push rods to adjustable. unbolted heads to remove pushrods. Do I have to replace head gasket since it only ran for 20 minutes or can I torque it down to additional 5 pounds

I am cheap and reckless. I would just bolt them down. Are you using an aluminum intake and are the gaskets copper? This sets up corrosion and will eat up the manifold very quickly.
The pushrods can be removed by getting a screw driver under the rockers and prying them up and over. Don’t try this when the valve is open.

I bough the factory service manual for 55 Dodges. I forgot if from eBay or Amazon.

Replace them. Unless you are using steel shim head gaskets, composite head gaskets are single use.

I forgot I had copied the engine part of the manual. Should be good for all hemi’s.
