Anyone know how or if the upper pivot pin on the swing out rear quarter window frames comes out......Before I start cutting things up I thought I would ask..... Thanks in Advance Ken
Try the guys over at Fordbarn or the Early Ford V8 Club of America. Good luck with the 'Ugly Duckling.'
Just for what it's worth........I needed a set of rear quarter window seals for a 37 Ford Club Coupe (swing out style)......None to be found anywhere....what I ended up doing was taking a chance and bought a set of 46-48 Ford coupe rear 1/4 window seals........I was hoping I could get lucky and the cross section would be close enough that I could modify them to work....well they showed up and were much larger that the 37 window........so...I knew I would have to section them to fit ....I cut a small piece out and couldn't believe that they fit the 37 window trim perfectly....so I cut them apart getting the pivot pin holes in the right location and fit them together.........Bingo.........I just thought I would mention this in case someone else has this same problem in the future.......Here are some pic's Ken
I actually found a mint set from a guy in Canada. the ones on the car need to be replaced when I paint it. I looked all over though. these are pretty rare.
That's a nice tip about the 46-48 quarter window seals fitting the 37. I have a 38 club coupe for which I'll be needing seals - I would imagine they will fit the 38, too. Anybody happen to know where I can find the metal window channel (fits around the gl***) for the 38 club quarter windows? Mine are almost completely rusted out on the bottom edge. Outside of welding on a splice & replating, not sure what I can do. 38 club coupes are hard to find.
