I always THOUGHT I wanted to run Weber carbs, so I bought 4 of the IDF 48 . I had to make a adapter to bolt them on to my engine. I don't have any vacuum leaks that I know of, but the engine will only idle at about 1,000 RPM after it is warmed up. I read a bunch of stuff from Redline about the webers, and is a great help. I do know I need to re-think the throttle linkage as it is not precise enough the way it is now. Thanks for any help. See you at Bonneville!

Disconnect the linkage from all carbs

Screw the idle screws all the way out.

Loosen the nuts either end of the throttle shaft then push the throttle blades open with a stick and let them snap shut.

Then do everything up and reset the idle. Be careful when you do the nuts up not to end up with the butterflies slightly open.

If that doesn’t work you’ll need to check the butterflies are actually closing all the way with the idle screws wound out.

There are 2 types of weber 48's, those that run well and those that don't. I have a pair of 48s that fit in the latter category. @Oneball is correct on disconnecting the linkage, turn out all of the idle screws and confirm the butterfly's are closed. They are simple designs but I have been close to tearing them off my buggy and going for a single 4 bbl.

The main problem is the idle. I have the pressure regulator set at 3#. Is that enough? I will take a picture of my "home made adapters" soon.

As above and could be idle jets. To get the correct 'mix' of jets and emulsion tubes can be tricky.

    Any vacuum leaks?

Try 2# . Do you have a return line going back to the tank? I assume you have a synchro meter for the air?
