I bought this unit some time ago and now find that it has been out of production for years. Consumables and documentation are rare to say the least. Smith Equipment seemed to have ventured too far away from their O/A roots when they got into plasma cutters and now they hardly even admit that they once had one. If anyone else has one of these units or has the documentation or has a good supplier for the consumables...please share. If I could get a replacement torch, Hypertherm/Hobart/Miller/etc, then that would solve most of my problems. Thanks...

An outfit in Watetown SD still services those. I also had one and it was a pita.800+ overhaul on a regular basis. Sold it and bought a Lincoln procut 55. One of my better moves.:)

That's the direction that I seem to be heading, a tool is supposed to make a job easier...while this Smith unit is working fine, the consumables are getting like hen's teeth to locate.

I also have 135 Smith plasma consumables. I have an inventory if interested. Please call, fax or email. 815-759-1375 Fax 815-759-1377. At .10 on the dollar the cost is $122.00. Hope this helps.

I still have this Smith Power Pro 55T, for the last 14 years it has sat unused on the welding cart under my MIG unit. Around the time of my first post (2008) I bought as many of the consumables as I could find. Right now I have 20 wire standoff assemblies and a large number of the nozzles and electrodes. The plasma cutter has less than 15 minutes on it. I would like to sell everything I have as package if you're interested. 619-993-8862
