I put around 1200 or so miles annually on my '40 Ford. Because I live in SoCal, most of the events are really fairly close. I'm about 30 miles to Los Angeles, and there's lot of Cars and Coffee events and small shows most every weekend. I love driving it, but I generally stay with 30 miles from home.

I managed to put 4,839 miles on my '32 in spite of it not being driven for a month due to getting and installing a new crate engine in it.......

Clarence is finally drivable again. Here's the odometer yesterday and I'll try to remember to post again after Christmas. I'm hoping for around 10K this year. Current plans are to SK-500, SEMO & STL HRH, Ford truck show in Pennsylvania, Ford truck show in Branson, MO, a couple of family Chicago trips and a couple more to the Knoxville area for family, and Lloydfest. Can't miss Lloydfest! Those are the plans as they stand today, but I'm hoping to increase that as time goes on.

SK-500 is at least a thousand. SEMO and STL HRH are at least 500 each. Pennsylvania is a couple of thousand. Branson will be 500. Chicago is a thousand each. Tennessee is a couple thousand each. Lloydfest is around 1,500. That's 12,000 plus local car shows/cruises, and other miscellaneous trips.

You know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men though.

I used to go to Good Guys Indy, BTT50's, and the Frog Follies but haven't been to any of those in at least 10 - 15 years. Are they still worth going to?

Like a bunch of guys on here, 0 miles this year as I haven't wrapped up my Vicky. This is my 12th year without a ride even though I've build dozens in the shop. I've vowed to finish the three cars in here and then close the shop for good so I get at least some seat time before I kick the bucket.

My Vick is real close to driving, even if not finished but like the six before her I have a buddy who would really like to have her. I'm no longer comfortable giving an almost finished car away and have been holding my ground.

This is an old pic, It's a lot further along now- Haven't taken any pics since last summer.

Frog Follies event still pre 49 only, great swap meet, inexpensive food, and laid back.
    Definitely worth the trip.

Yep; best car show swap meet on the planet. However, I quit going when it got so dadgummed crowded. Did I hear that they expanded the show area? Maybe it's not as crowded (cars per acre) if they did.

I took the Rancho out to visit my Dad at the cemetery. First time off the block in 12 years, 14 miles round trip.

57 DeSoto front bumper. I’ll be shoehorning the original grill in there, one splice in the top and one in the bottom

This is my post from earlier this year. The odometer reading I referenced was 12.3 miles. Last weekend at the STL Hotrod Hundred we turned over 7,000 miles. We've been to SK-500, Lloydfest, Ozark Mountain Run (Ford truck show in Branson, MO), Chicago, and Arkansas. We still have a trip to PA and NY this fall, as well as the Color Run in Quincy. Still hoping for 10K miles or more. If we get to east TN to see relatives that'll add 1,500 more miles.

Instead of how many miles, a better question is "Who has a working speedometer and is it correct?"

7000 miles on this one so far this year. The trip to Bonneville and back helped.

I bought this thing in February of 1973. The first few years the original 1948 speedometer/odometer worked. Then the odometer quit. Then the speedometer quit. So for the last 30 years or so it had neither. Now it has a full set of S-W gauges and I actually know how fast/far I'm going.

I dont pay any attention to the odometer but I have driven my avatar to 4 states. One trip was 1158 miles. The head gasket blew, I had one sent in overnight, it was a good trip.
