Technical napa gold oil filters for chevy, whats the final verdict ?

    Wait till you find out where your computer, tv, and cell phones, are made… that ya just used to ***** about stuff being made there.

    I've read a few things online about no oil flowing for the first 10 seconds with these napa gold filters.
    Someone had a photo showing new vs old and it looked like the orange rubber piece under all the drain holes was a lot closer to the holes on the newer version.

    I'd imagine that for a global company, they don't make every filter sold in the US here, just like they wouldn't have a similar factory in Europe make every filter sold there, unless there starts to be high hurdles in transporting/import. Makes sense to have the capacity to be able to switch the product, but also each switch downtime is lost production. I'm just annoyed that there seems to be the need to reinvent the same basic part with no real enhancement for every manufacturer every couple years with no backwards compatibility. Why are there 200 different oil filters?

    What brand does chevy put on there own engines?
    They sell those.
