Purchased from the Estate of Richard Serdinak of Akron Ohio. From the original ad for the car: "This fabulous custom 1940 Ford Coupe was added to an extensive Ford collection in Northeast Ohio in 1978. It is now for sale from the collector's estate. 83,647 miles - 18-5817079 The previous owner reported that this 1940 Ford coupe had been customized by Barris Kustom and this was reportedly confirmed at the time. No do***entation confirming the customizer has been found. Driven sparingly (for car shows, etc.) during the '80s, this car was well-maintained and the collector decided he was unsatisfied with the undercarriage condition caused by storage habits of the previous owner. So, he dis***embled the coupe with the intention of replacing the floors and possibly changing the motor. It is believed he re-worked the engine that was installed in the customized car (mid-50s Buick early drive line) in his performance engine shop. The Buick engine is included. See photos." I received the car a couple of months ago, started working on it, and currently have too many other things going on, so its up for sale. The coupe is currently in the stage you see in the pictures. I went ahead and installed a complete new floor board from Paul Bradly. The frame rails were blasted and painted with por 15, and then I ***embled the car to see what was missing.
