I would have used the vise grips on the pliers. Would have gotten a tighter connection and a chance the zip tie would stay in place if it was moved farther out on the handles.

It's either that way with what's available or walk home?

Brake pads last longer when installed this way. Doesn't do much for the rotors, but extends the life of the brake pads.

Looks like payday has been a bit long in coming more then just this one time. Or the person really likes tape repairs.

One of these moments that never gets forgotten.
Working part time at a Gulf station, on a very busy intersection, we had need of an actual crew.
The owner would show from time to time, but relied on a couple of relatives for security.
One, a brother in law was a great guy in stature, as well as attitude.
There was the knowledge of alcohol being his favorite beverage choice for an obvious thirst.
So early one morning I'm jumping the fill hoses for the drivers who gas, then get to the job.
As I'm ringing a sale said B I L casually walks into the office, and shows me the hole in his hand.
He flips it both ways hole in palm same on the back.
Well a stubborn engine would not kick, with the air cleaner off he's flipping the throttle, Buuurp!
The carb lit up. His gray-fog morning mind made him smother that carb,, fast as he could.
