Congrats on the award! Truck looked killer inside. Just got home, the ol C10 made it up and back with no issues so it was a good trip. So many nice cars and trucks. C10s & Square bodies are still the hot item up there. So many running around. Only complaint I had was I dont know what the cut offs for the show now are for Friday and Saturday, lots of late model stuff running around.
Hey @Bandit Billy I wish I could have been able to meet you, but no big deal, its all good! I thought I would add some of my shots to your great thread! Enjoy from Dennis.
It won Period Perfect. I was driving across the awards stage but the announcer was describing the truck to the crowd. I heard him mentioned the early sixties vibe the truck was putting out. I couldn't have picked a better award for it personally. Nice honor. They give out a lot of awards but less then 5% of those registered get one. Like I said, an honor that my wife is very proud of and already working on a place of honor to display it.
We saw you and dad pulling out last night. We were on the roof top bar and you were directly below us. I hollered but it is pretty rowdy right there. Best fun of the night was the low riders coming by and trying to bounce the halter tops off their female seat covers in the p***enger seat with hydraulics. Could be a new Olympic Event, it was definitely a crowd pleaser at the roof top bar.
yeah at that point of my 1 cruise lap as we were leaving I was playing "do I have enough gas to get the station near the hotel?" lol. Also played "Will my clutch leg give out by the exit gate?" I keep saying Im going to get to that bar at that show, but never do. I spend too much time walking and looking at cars.
That bar is a great vantage point especially in the evening as the cars circle. We had a bit of fuel scare as well. We had to have les then a 1/4 tank inside the building like all indoor shows I have attended. But what I didn't think about was winning an award and doing a little cruise about the grounds with the others. I had to have Char run and get a couple of gallons, so I didn't run out of fuel and embarr*** m'self. She brought back the go juice and a hard cider...good wife. What a good time! Mrs. Bandit said it was her favorite car show ever and wants to go back. Roadster next time!
On our way to the awards ceremony inside, looking out Mrs BB’s hardware, an embossed metal sign with her award category on it. And strapped in the trailer headed home. Fast trip back down the super slab. Other than the 6 mile section at woodland that took one hour to p***! Seriously?
Sweet, glad she had a great time at the event! Yeah that show is a pretty great, so much to do and see. If you didnt make it to the drag races this year, I highly recommend it next time. There are some silly fast door slammers and the vintage nitro funny cars always put on a good show. Next year we plan on taking the 61 Impala, this year was a little cramped in the cab of the C10 with all our stuff.
It's was fun meeting you and your lovely wife today. Sorry that I didn't get that award picture for you guys. We got distracted and got to the ceremnony about 50 cars late.
That's a very fitting award for the truck. The quality of cars that show up at that show makes winning an award a big deal. Congrats!
It was a pleasure meeting up with you as well. You meet the nicest people on the HAMB. Absolutely! The cars and the venue make it a great event. I wish I had a self-contained RV to stay overnight on the property. They say they don't allow tent camping but I think several were. It would be great fun to stay on site. I heard the parties rage till the wee hours.
Abbbitty, Abbbitty, Abbbitty, that's all folks! Ya gotta love the cool little green personnel carrier, with the VOLVO license plate frame, I just love that oddball stuff. Thanks from Dennis.
Nice work on the photojournalism! We tagged teamed that one! I was telling my wife I would need another camera or phone to dedicate to the OT stuff that was there. Some of the hottest muscle cars and pro streets I have seen in a long time.
Hey @Bandit Billy Right back at you Amigo! I spent some time going through each one of my photographs to get them cropped just right. You as well, provided some amazing shots ! Thanks from Dennis. Keep in touch.
BB, thanks for the great show coverage photos. Good on ya Bubba, fitting award, happy for both you and the missus. I wish my wife shared the enthusiasm your wife has for the whole car thing. Happy to see the Goodfellas keeping the Puyallup show at high standard, always thought of it as a destination event, also liked the cars brought down from Canada ( saw a few in the back ground that were a tad too new for this joint), they always brought some fine examples.
HEY, THANKS SOOOO MUCH FOR ALL THE BEAUTIFUL PICTURES, THEY WERE JUST FANTASTIC !!!!!! ALL THAT WAS MISSING WAS ALL THE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS , IN THE BACK GROUND, THAT USUALLY ATTEND !!!!!
