He is referring to a vibrator type power supply that used a OZ4A vacuum tube like in the old vacuum tube radios in cars. The 0Z4A is a gas-filled, double diode employing an ionic-heated cathode. Its principal application is as a full-wave power rectifier in equipment with vibrator type power supplies.

It runs about every 10 minutes, holds nine people comfortably, has three doors to eliminate crawling over other passengers.
