(59 galaxie) I messaged them once and they told me I need a serial number off the CNC plate but I’ve never seen a serial number on it before. I also found out they sold their company. Anything info on these helps. Thank you.

  2. IIRC, your kit used 1969 Mustang Rotors and 82-87 GM Calipers. Depending on how old your existing kit is, there may not be a CNC number on the plate. Scarebird went out of business a few years ago when out west (New Mexico I believe) and sold all their patterns to a new owner in North Carolina. I purchased several bearing spacers from them right before they closed up.

This is off a ford forum from 2010.

1957-68 V8 Ford Galaxie, XL, Marauder

    Front Disc brake conversion instructions

    1. Crack front wheel nuts loose, chock up rear wheels.
    2. Jack up front end of car, support crossmember with jackstands.
    3. Remove front wheels, drum/hub ***embly.
    4. Disconnect brake flexible line at frame by unscrewing hardline nut, then removing clip. Undo drum backing plate nuts and remove drum backing plate and all drum hardware in one ***embly. Clean off spindle ***embly.
    5. Place adapter plate on spindle with opening to the rear. You will need a pair of new bolts to fit the upper hole. Place adapter ring onto spindle stub, taper inwards. You may need to heat it up in an oven at 400 degrees to get ti to expand to fit, or drive it on with a piece of tubing.
    6. Clean and repack wheel bearings. Install new seal. ***emble rotor onto spindle, tighten outer nut to spec, then secure with keeper, new cotter pin and dustcap.
    7. Wipe down rotor with alcohol, lacquer thinner or other cleaner to remove grease and oils.
    8. Wash hands! Rotor must be squeaky clean
    9. I recommend you use loaded calipers to limit parts chasing, with the softest pads available. Install hose with new copper crush washers loosely on caliper. Install calipers with bleed screw up, and then tighten to 35 foot-pounds. Check fitment and rotate rotor to check clearance. Some calipers have a cast hump that interferes with the bracket- this can be sawn off with a hacksaw or zip wheel. Loop hose back and up to hardline, connect, then tighten banjo bolt on caliper also.
    10. Master cylinder and proportioning valve specs are quite varied. I would recommend 1968 Galaxie disc or similar disc master cylinder for best performance match available in both power and manual flavors. Some have used the original single master cylinder with success, though this is not recommended. Try with original junction block first. If rears lock up excessively, install an adjustable proportioning valve in the line going to the rear.
    11. Bench bleed disc master cylinder, mount on car, then gravity bleed entire system first, and then pump bleed and test for leaks and other issues.
