For me, it's '69 F-body chevies.... But I do like the early gassers also...;)

  3. Let's just face it everyone, we're all suckers for a cool ride no matter what it is. :D..Sometimes I see something that I once thought I didn't like. Surprise me, I just never seen it done up like it is!:)

  4. I like fat fendered and nice round curves the most, but also like the 30's coupes, I also like the quirky cars that you don't see a thousand of, but mostly I like curves.
There's other styles I like for sure that grab my attention, but if I had to choose one over the other I guess it depends on the day of the week and my mood that day. LOL

  6. My favorites are the cars I saw in Hot Rod Magazine from about 1958 to about 1968. I always loved the early 30s boxy cars. I delved into muscle cars for a while but my heart was always with the early iron.

It's usually whatever I'm building at the moment. Right now I'm in to my whacked '31 Vicky.

My Dad always had a hot nut for '46-'48 Ford and Merc coupes. At times he'd have four or five lined up behind the house. This has stuck with me for all these years. If I live long enough I'll build one like his Olds powered, LaSalle trans, chopped, louvered, ribbed bumper, frenched lights, electric blue with a black and white naugahyde interior.. Just too cool!

For examples, I love my Chevys, but these showed up . I meant only to foster them, but became attached. Never mind the mess, it is time for the yearly stuffing of acquired parts and the changing of the tarps. IMG_20240730_162752.jpg

What, now I’ve got to pick just one?

    Never gonna happen!

Like the Supreme Court’s definition of pornography, I know what it is when I see it, but can’t explain it to you! There are probably as many things that turn me off on some vehicles as there is stuff that turn me on on others. Now to just pick a certain year or make or body, I can’t do it, there’s just too many things I like. Everything from the late 20’s to the present can be my next favorite if it has the right stuff. Most of my all time favorites I’ll never get the chance to own, but I can look at somebody else’s and still enjoy it without spending a dime!

Cars are like pies and women love em all, but if I could own just one it would be an 32 Ford 3 window.

Well, after 105 automobiles and am now 76. I have owned my share (and my wife thinks a fair share of other people's choices). But, I started at 14 with a '48 Ford coupe and went car crazy after that. 42-48 Fords and Mercs have always been my favorite. I just like the lines of those years. I have owned at least one of every series Ford or Mercury from 1927 to 1977. As a teenager, I would buy my ideal car and almost as soon as I got it home would see something else that lit my fire. When I was in high school, I got a nastygram from the California DMV telling me that if I sold one more car that year, I would be considered a dealer and get licensed! Incidentally, at that time, selling 8 cars qualified you as a dealer. So. I bought and sold a couple more that year but never put them in my name. Now I have completely changed. I have owned my truck for 20 years, my deuce roadster was started in 2005 and on the road since 2009, and my ot El Camino was purchased new in 1968 by my dad and when he passed in 1990, I inherited it and have kept it ever since. But, boy oh boy, did I keep the DMV busy for years prior. Now all my cars feel like an old pair of slippers, very comfortable and well broken in. My kids all want dibs on the cars when croak, so I will let them battle it out to see who gets what. In the meantime I am enjoying 5hem just like fine wine, they just improve with age. I wish I could say that about myself!

I really like them all from the aught teens to the mid 70s, although some lots more then others. Been a Ford man all my life so I lean that way mostly the 50s, how ever if I ever get the chance on a 1966 Merc Cyclone GT 390 335 horse 4 speed white with blue interior and a blue racing stripe on the rockers, thats it.
One I really didnt like was a Pacer, but if I found one now that ran Id drive it.
