Need to replace the clutch in mymodel A. I'm running a 261 chev 6 with mods. Not sure of the horsepower but probably not crazy. I'm switching from a t-5 to muncie m20. I was limited to the diameter of the clutch due to the tz5 input spline. I can now run a 10.5 or even 11 inch clutch. What has anyone used as far as brand, style, ect.?

T5 equipped Astro vans used a larger disc, but I'm not sure how available they are these days. I believe that Speedway offers a larger disc with the oddball spline.

  3. Check with Ram Clutches. They helped me out with my OLds.

    I'm replacing the t-5 with a Muncie M-20
I can now use a conventional 10 spline disc. I'm basically just looking for a recommendation for a street/strip clutch . Thanks

10 spline 10.5 or 11 inch clutch disk all depends on how fancy you want to get and what you feel like spending. You can the 10.5 10 spline Sachs 187654416 that fits just about anything with a 1-1/8 10 spline input shaft that uses a 10.5 disk in a lot of places for as low as 37.95 with shipping or 55 from Amazon or Napa From there the sky is the limit price wise.

Depending on your bell housing anything near 10-10.5 will be fine and fit.

I used to hunt up ton & a half '54 truck flywheels because they were 6v ring gear 11'' ... I'd use Long or B&B pressure ass'y & short release brng. Pedal effort was increased, but they were just the ticket for destroying axle shafts, u-joints, & torque tube 3 speeds.

I run a 11” clutch with a T5, using jeep input shaft and truck bell housing. Your bellhousing is the determining factor on the size of your clutch.
