Hot Rods Who knew the cure Marketplace addiction was a '31 Chevy?

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome myself back to this hokey ass message board by announcing that I have found the cure for doom scrolling ads, and it only costs like an inch of money! I haven't had much reason to participate in the last few years, I left the machine shop and the other '31 hot rod I'm known for around here to start my own company a little over four years ago and have been without a HAMB-correct whip since, but I think maybe I'm back... I'll let you guys sort that out.
I found this car on FB a few days back and drove over from Phoenix to the San Diego area to pick it up today. Seller didn't have many details besides it was built by a father and son sometime in the 60's in the Fresno area. He also said "rumor has it, it was in a background shot in American Graffiti." That's probably BS and I don't really care if it was in a movie, dude... it's a Hemi powered coupe...

Here are some phone pics and a couple from the ad, it's currently quite late and dark. I will get more shots in the morning before and after it gets a bath.

Nice, hopefully you have the title with it. If not get that sorted before spending a cent.

  3. Love the interior!

Lots of potential there, but I'd be afraid of sitting in it for fear of catching whatever it's got.

That’s bitchin! What size is the motor and what’s the rest of the running gear? Got a close up pic of the dash?

Ya gotta carefully clean it and wipe down that interior!
    Truly sweet!
Meguier's No.7 for the paint and something water based for the inside.

The lumber is not bad... seems to have been mostly, if not all replaced at some point.

Reminds me of one of my all time favorites, "Mr. Chevy." Maybe some wheel and tire inspo?

  28. Me too, I remember the interior and knobs/handles
