It's actually a '39 LaSalle.

 

This sad mess looks like a '65 Rambler Cl***ic.

 

Sitting off of I40 in Texas. If it were closer to my house I'd drag it home..

There used to be all kinds of neat vintage iron visible from the road on I40 going through AZ, NM, TX & OK in the 70's & 80's. I used to think about hauling some of them back with my dad but that never worked out.
There was a huge pile of 30's & 40's cars visible on the south side of the highway just crossing the border into NM, I think. They looked like they were pushed off a high bluff. Anyone remember it? I would love to see if someone has a photo of it.

Wonder how good those rear doors are. Must be some pocket money there

 

i always wanted to get one and restore the outside as a gas truck but modify the guts into a camper and watch peoples faces when i pull an old gas tanker into the campgrounds.

 

That was my first thought too, shocking to see it with the doors on it yet. Even if it's not fixable as a car, that could at least be made into a trailer or something, I can't believe it's just laying there on it's side, complete like that.

 

Someone needs to remove that junk from that beautiful scenery!
