Event Coverage PRETTY STUFF I SAW YESTERDAY

I went to the weekly, Wednesday cruise in at PIR last night, pretty good turnout, pretty good band, pretty good cider, pretty amazing summer's evening.

A pretty blue and tan 55 Nomad

With pretty nice interior

And a pretty nice parking spot under a giant weeping willow that looked like that tree from Avatar.

Hows about a pretty fast looking Chevy II? Love the slots

And a pretty ass shot of a caterpillar yeller 36.

A pretty caddy powered coupe with 40 deluxe dash

With pretty traditional interior

and a pretty nice rear end with rumble seat.

With a pretty mother-in-law seat in back...for not so pretty mothers-in-law (roll up rear glass).

Owned by a pretty cool guy I know who also owns a 40 PU

This was pretty off the hook. This guy comes up with some cool stuff!

And my pretty good running roadster. What a fun drive home last night at speed!

Very early in our relationship (33 years ago) my wife saw a Kenworth truck cruising through the main street of Kings Cross, Sydney, Australia) and called it a "pretty" truck. I told her it's not "pretty", it's an 'alright looking bit of gear'. We're still happy married despite that hiccup.

 

My wife once told me she liked my "pretty golf outfit" I was wearing on the way out the door for a round. I explained men do not wear "pretty" clothes and we don't wear "outfits, ensembles or git ups". She still says it once in a while to get me going.

Great batch of photos. I haven't seen Blitz beer since I was a Box Boy at the local Safeway in the mid 60's and I think it was the cheap beer then. Lower on the pecking order than Oly or Lucky Lager. That was when a case of beer was a case of 24 though.
Wifes and clothes names. Back 55 years ago when we were first married Jean asked me if I was going to wear that "top" out for dinner,. I wasn't too kind when I said that men didn't wear tops. We hit our 55th the 16th of this month.

Thanks. Somewhere between the cruise in and my garage I lost a header gasket. It's a bit noisier...and I am mostly deaf!
