Couple of HAMBers - @Skotz & @Casey (RIP) - tearing it up several years ago, it was fun to witness in person. I wish I had the pics I took from that day.
Hey cactus1, where in KC is that airplane? I've seen pictures of it before, but in my travels of KC I've never ran across it. Thanks.
F4U Corsair? I watched every episode of the Black Sheep. I studied Pappy Boyington. I dreamt of flying in one of these. If I was building it, I'd have a mattress underneath it as well.
Lou Wells, that is one f--king awesome picture. One of my favorite car and all time favorite war bird! Bandit Billy, the Corsair was the best part of that show.
Wrong time of year to be there, but the Palm Springs Air Museum used to have a number of period correct vehicles displayed with the vintage aircraft. Bob Pond, who was the founder had quite a car collection along with the warbirds and other aircraft. No picture, but the one I remember best was the restored Rickenbacker in front of either a Spad or a Neiuport.
Hey @Bandit Billy This is the real deal, photographed by me back in 2015 at Oshkosh, during the big annual airshow. Enjoy from Dennis.
