Hello all, looking for thoughts on what my 29 roadster might be worth? It is all steel on 32 rails with a 46 Ford flathead V8 and a 3 speed manual transmission with a 3 on the tree. Also has a Ford 9" rear end. Converted to 12 volts though it looks original I think, new water pumps and aluminum radiator. Speedometer needs a cable and have not hooked up the voltmeter yet. No rust, good drum brakes. Anyway, want an old truck now so thanks for any thoughts.

What did you pay for it? What improvements did you make? What do you expect to get out of it. First I'm going to be critical and opinonated. It's not a Roadster. It is a cut down from various years. The cowl is a 28-29 coupe or sedan, as are the doors. The quarters appear to be '34. It will never have the value of a true Ford roadster. The value is finding an indiviual that wants a fun, unique vehicle to cruise around.
I'm thrifty. If I was buying, $10,000-12,000. Selling maybe $14,000-16,000 and take the best offer.

To start…that is a mishmash of body parts. Closed car ‘28/9 cowl yes but the rest….? Ch***is looks solid but I’d like to see more of the rear suspension. No interior to speak of. I’d say mid/high teens.

Thanks for the input so far, what should I describe it as if not a roadster please. I figured I would get informed response on this. I don't want to say it is something it isn't and fun it is.

What does the ***le say? Tongue in cheek you could say, "Custom Ford Roadster identifies as a 1929". Be honest, tell them you didn't build it, you bought it for fun and ready to p*** the fun along. Depending on the quality of the frame one could buy a new Brookville body and have a more traditional '29 Hiboy and not be upside down.

***le says 1929 Ford, body style 2 door. I would never tell someone something I didn't do, you are exactly right that I bought it for fun. I will try to post pics of underneath tomorrow. I am not trying to get big money like it is something it isn't, just a fair value on what it might be worth and I sure appreciate your insight.
