Got my Mig up and running and for my first project I decided to build me a Tonneau cover for the rear area of my wagon.. Built it out of 1/2" sq. tubing and 25/64" wood. I am excited about it, first because I actually built someone from nothing and because it came out looking like I pictured in my head...
Man Ken, that looks really cool. There is a guy out here with a 59 Chevy wagon and his is covered with white tuck & roll with blue tuck & roll inserts. I don't know if his has the frame and wood like yours (because it is covered) but it is killer none the less. Great job man.
Root, it was easy to do up.. like I said it was my first attempt at welding. Here is a pic of th bottom before vinyl installed. I thought about doing a Tuck n Roll but the front and rear seat are done in a stock fashion, just plain and simple (easier to keep clean then all those grooves on a T&R set up.. Here is the bottom/ The indents are to allow my hands to reach the tailgate release. When I did the vinyl I made flaps that I can lift up to gain access
