I figure that is a supercharger plumbed up top, any one know what kind? I am guessing a vane type.[IMG]

That is a Type 57 Bugatti, odd horizontal louvers will help ID it. Bob [IMG]

The next group of Photos Byron took ,were at the 1950 National Roadster Show. This is the first Oakland Roadster Show held at the Oakland Exposition Building. I am a collector of anything from the Oakland Shows , so these are dear to my heart! I attended and participated in the show in later years , so these are special.

Time for the last batch of these photos. I want to thank Jack McNellis for providing the slides and his Father-in-Law Byron Schroeder for taking the photos . It has been exciting documenting this important Hot Rod History. This last group was also from the 1950 Oakland Show....... 1950 National {Oakland} Roadster Show (08).jpg

Is this the first "Bubbletop"? Sure pre-dates Starbird and Roth.

Amazing photos, thanks for sharing. I love these types of things, a time capsule of the way things really were.

It has a very short nose, anyone know what engine it had? V8-60 maybe?

There is a thread on here about it, search Larry Neves roadster. I think @hudsonjoe49 has it now.

Love the history as well. Picked up these yesterday from a guy who put them in his sock draw as a teenager. He included pics of top cars for each year. These are going onto the wall! 20240816_183440.jpg 20240816_183645.jpg 20240816_183440.jpg 20240816_183645.jpg

Is this the Meb Healey bantam-bodied roadster that's in the California Bill Chevy/GMC speed manual?
