I went to drury inn last year. It was good for kids with happy hour with unlimited chips, queso and 2 drinks for dad. There were plenty of people there for roundup. The other nice part was place was gated. Its central of show, downtown but closer to top notch burger.
I may look for a house or something too but already made reservations for this.

  7. +1 Drury Inn on I35 North

  8. Well......seems the Hyatt we booked is no longer part of The Hyatt Group and they "cancelled our booking at no charge as a courtesy to us".

    So now the hunt begins.....again.

Swines , as a real courtesy they could offer a rebook somewhere else suitable.

  10. We found an Air BnB literally 2 blocks from the Continental Club, it's a brand new one and worked out about $18 a day less than the hotel.

So it worked out well for us.

    Hyatt didn't care.

  11. Was doing an airbnb, but the number going went down to just a buddy and me so I grabbed a room at the Wyndam Garden this week for $143. a night.
I'm a no frill type, just don't want my car or I to get screwed with. Some year I'd like to camp and enjoy a fire at the end of a day.

I attended the Lonestar Roundup last year and stayed at the Blue Mountain Hotel, which I found through a recommendation. It was a real gem! The place had such a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after the day's events. The views of the mountains were stunning, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. It felt like a home away from home. If you’re looking for somewhere nice and comfortable, I’d definitely suggest giving it a look.
