    Hello,

Trucks have played an important start to my/our hot rod involvement as little kids. There were some custom trucks in our neighborhood, but 90% of them were for daily driving to their jobs or the truck was part of their jobs. So, just as few custom cars rolled around during the weekdays, but on the weekends, they came out in force.

With the drag racing build we just went through as teenage shop builders, we did ok. But the motor could have powered the next generation of race cars in reality or just in our minds. If we continued the small speed shop to build hot rods and custom motors, we would definitely need a station wagon or truck to do the majority of the transportation portion of our lives and shop.

Crate motors via the Westside builders would have been a new way to create some income for the two brothers.

This drawing was the inspiration for the above versions of the 61 F-100 Ford truck for this next week’s activity on the salt lake. Thanks… @john mullen

It's a few years old but I haven't shot much that I like in the last few years lol. It took a long time to find a night that I was out in the Galaxie on a clear night where a storm moved in. The storm was about 90 miles away and I used my phone's flashlight to light paint the Galaxie while the Nikon sat on a tripod for a 30 second exposure.

The "Dolphin Racer" got a lot of love last week so here is another found object piece.
Old wood plane part, tag light, propane torch tip, spoon handles and assorted screws, washers etc.

For Father's Day my daughter gifted me a photo session with a local photographer to take pictures of the 56.
We met in Cheyenne Canyon at dusk for the session and he told me to park in front of this giant pine tree when the light was almost gone. He set the camera for a long exposure and began running around the car with a spotlight on a pole. I thought what the hell? When I met him to look over proofs he had this shot, that if I had not seen it with my own eyes being taken, would have said was a total Photo Shop job. I said I saw you running around the car with a light like a mad man, but you're not in the picture. He just smiled.
RoyBoy you guys have an eye and are truly artists. This picture was worth the whole price of the package to me. Credit to Burke Car photos Gallery | Burke Car Photos night.jpg

One of my favorite hood ornaments.
This is one I have, that I had re-chromed, and the clear part is special cut plexiglass with a bevel edge, its NOT glass.
    Thanks for posting from Dennis.
