This probably belongs in the wanted section but I'm desperate. I used to get them from Frank Wallic but that's no more so I gave a guy a try from the east coast. The box is an excellent piece of work, riveted just like the Wallic box but is big enough to hold a semi battery or be a tool box. Frank used to make one just big enough for the standard Optima plus maybe an extra inch for the cables to run down thru the back and out. I'm probably fishing but I need one for this roadster I'm building. I am lucky to have one of the last Wallic bomber benches for the interior. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Krylon32,

Don’t know if this would be of interest to you but I just purchased this from Speedway to relocate my Odyssey battery on my 34’ Coupe. Received it in 2 days.

I don't know if this style will fit your application, but I was in aviation before retirement. I found an old ni cad battery box from a turbine powered aircraft. Got it for nothing. But I have seen several on eBay and aviation used part vendors. They are stainless, vented and come with a quick disconnect. The top cover has tie down fitting built in. With a little fab work I got a 12 volt car battery to fit. Makes a nice clean install and safe too. PXL_20231020_024013221.jpg PXL_20231019_205458640.jpg PXL_20240429_223956020.jpg

Thanks Beezer. I have used that box in the past to mount the battery on the side of a deuce frame and removed the battery by tilting the drivers seat forward and removing a cover and taking it up inside the car, but this requires a trunk mounted box that will sit beside the fuel tank.

I saw that but it's hinged wrong. I need the hinge in the end and the latch on the other end with the cable exit holes at the bottom of the case on the hinge end.
