Private Boneyards From My Travels …

Discussion in 'Off Topic Hot Rods & Customs' started by trulyvintage, Aug 9, 2024.

  1. In the course of my travels
    I come across private boneyards
and if I am fortunate to be
    allowed to take images
    and/or videos I do.

I usually do not share locations
    to protect the owner’s identity
    and privacy unless they have
items for sale and ask me too.

    Enjoy !

    Jim

There was enough parts just at this

What a nice, friendly Police Dept. there. Was it a drive-thru?

Random chunk of an E-type just laying there amongst all of the early Ford tin, that's interesting.

Gets weirder... there's a Volvo P1800 (what's left at least) sitting next to the Jag. Must have had a sudden weakness for some European tin that quickly disappeared...

I can recall a few crappy motels along roads less traveled & having driven too long into the night we opted for what looked to be the last resort (pun intended) they were not exactly motel hell variety but left a story or two to tell.

Well, damn, buddy! That's exactly why I decided to drive over the road. Miles of ever-changing scenery, finding friendly people in places you'd never imagine (Bronx, NY), hauling a load of grapes into a market in Providence, Rhode Island, and watching all the elders in different families teach the young how to pick out the best grapes for their individual homemade wines. Then there was watching several different 4th of July fireworks shows at the same time around Denver, Colorado with the Rocky Mountains for a backdrop. Seeing the sunrise over the Atlantic and sunset in the Pacific. I've driven truck in all 48 contiguous states and Ontario, Canada, and there is so much to see out there.

  16. Dave hired me to pick
    up this 1947 Frazer Manhattan
    in The Wisconsin Dells ….

After a few hours onsite it
    was ready to load ….

    The vehicle had not been
    moved in many years from
    the Seller’s home garage
    and had a stuck wheel
so it would not roll freely.
    With some effort and a
tow strap I got it rolling.

Little did I know what was
in store for me when I
    met Dave near Altoona, PA
at a rural property to unload ….

I was at an original agency
    and service garage that
    had been in Dave’s Family
    since it first opened.

  19. You are looking at a 40 plus year
collection so who knows what was
    purchased and/or built when
and what they had on hand to do it.
