I have never driven a coe or a mid engine vehicle. I was hoping it would be quieter than my 46 pickup. Dave
Biggest contributor to noise in mine is the wind... seals and windlace helped ALOT, but driving something down the highway at 75 MPH that was built 83 years ago and never intended for modern highway speeds gives plenty of wind noise. It's dynamatted, carpetted and interiored.. I also have a heat shield between the sleeper floor and the engine with insulation in between.
I know what you mean, last weekend we took my 46 pickup to anchorage for a show, 4hours each way. Wind noise was BAD! I hope to calm tha5 down some in the COE.
There isn't a really a solution, but the older cabs had very deeply set windows and the burble that creates makes noise also
Homer41, Were you here for the Show and Shine? I was there with my 4 cyl roadster. If you got a dash plaque, that is my car. I didn't get to walk around much, wish I knew you were here I would of found you to say Hello!
I was there! The group of us from the Peninsula were in the second row on the left as you come in. Dave
