Italian/ American Police benefit car show today. Since I lived in Norwalk Ct for 30 years I thought my wife and I would drive about an hour and a half to Norwalk for a good cause. Did not disappoint. Lots of nice cars and best of all saw lots of old friends. View attachment 6154531
Ahh, Norwalk. I used to have breakfast at the Family Diner on Main Street, when I briefly lived on the North Avenue.
Thank You ct32ford. Glad you got a ride in. Nice pics, I'd choose the '35 Tub, The '57 Corvette, or your solid roadster.
That Olds was built by Herb Gary in early 60's, it was almost totally destroyed in a fire, remarkable job bringing it back to life, truly a labor of love, when I saw it I swear it was a total loss.. Great Job!!!!
Hard to see on my phone, since you seem to know the car. Is that a full glass roof? One hell of a car. Great work from what I can see.
I like the baby nerf bars along the side. It's a small accent detail that actually can protect the bodywork a bit.
Russ Grady was a partner with the late Paul Gommi. They ran a front engine top fuel dragster. Russ Grady also had a speed shop many years ago.
Jim Tork restored the car 10-15 years ago and the owner started it inside his garage, blower backfired and burned it to the ground and damaged the house. Jim bought the remains and restored it AGAIN. First time I've seen photos of the second round. Looks very nice. Bob
I remember seeing Russ Grady's Oldsmobile in the Hartford Autorama when the car was painted black in the 1960's.
