I absolutely love that picture of my dad’s (Stanlow69) caprice! His car club’s car show is in a couple weeks and the car show is in his memory! I know he smiling and loving this thread! Here are a few more pictures!
Adenia, thanks for checking in. There is a big empty space here on the HAMB without Jim. Like you and your family, we miss him. Spring swap meet wasn't the same not running in to him while walking the rows of parts. And just got back from Salina KKOA Leadsled Spectacular. His presence was sorely missed. A****st friends, we talked about him, honored him, and said a prayer. I plan on being in Red Oak on the 17th.
Thank you so much!! Swap meets and car shows were his favorite past times! I will be there as well! I look forward to possibly meeting you if we haven’t yet!
That is cool, Mick! Makes a guy wonder why people aren't doing this to Mustangs these days. I guess it's that whole "too valuable" mumbo jumbo. Customized 'Stangs are about as rare as unicorns, but I have a few to add.......... Fastback anyone? Let the purists cringe! California Special? I doubt it, but still neat to see the use of Cougar taillights. Once so popular, but now seldom seen. Dig the skirts! Last, but certainly not least, is a picture of a Mustang that was taken in car show coverage that was printed in the January 1998 issue of Custom Rodder. Am I the only one that misses that magazine? E
Cool stuff @richards69impala, but looks like they probably fit in the regular year-breaks and style of the threads on the regular HAMB, not the Late Model Kustom Blues ...
Regarding the previous post... I'm not sure what thread that shoebox Ford hardtop was supposed to be in, but it is definitely not a Late Model Kustom. See the original post description .... cool cars that were never able to be posted here on the HAMB because they were too new for the traditional year cutoff. Lil E OG is looking for cars "AFTER 1965 (or so)". Think later model cars done in the "traditional" custom style.
