  2. I think its ready for the weekend. The fuel altered nationals held at Eddyville Raceway Park in Oskaloosa Iowa is the BIG nitro event of the year for these cars. A minimum of 80 percent nitro is a requirement. The nitro level is checked in the staging lanes so no one can run soft. Its a great eighth mile track. The fans are very passionate about their nitro cars. Come out and watch two big days of nitro racing. Fuel altereds are the wildest hot rods ever made. Be there.

Boy spell check butchered Oskaloosa, IA. Not sure if I'll be able to get there, but wish you the best of luck. If you need help with anything just give a shout. This will be a great show.

  5. 20240818_143451.jpg I had a guy send me this Pic. It's on the mobil truck stop billboard. This light up sign is huge. It's located at interstate 94 and hwy 20 near my home. Over 1.2 million cars travel this corridor each day. It's for the upcoming friends of Broadway Bob luncheon held next Wednesday at the Blue Badger on the property of the truck stop. This is cool. Having technical difficulties getting the pic posted.

Let's hope my limited tech skills serves us well.

I'm at Eddyville, watching Brian and a bunch of fuel cars run the 1/8th. This is bad ass all day long. Support Brian by buying a shirt or something.

This guy is bad ass, he will talk with you in the pits until time runs out.

I've gotta work on the vid tonight, this fuel shit is nuts. Hopefully I can post in the morning, maybe too many barley pops.

  7. I too am currently uploading videos.

As Brian had said several times the past couple of days, it was like a mini family reunion for past Orange Crate (Nostalgia Top Fuel dragster) crew members. It was great. For me, it was more about catching up than watching races.

With the advances that Brian has made this year with his combination, next year is going to be epic!!!

  8. That headerflame shot is so bad ass!!! It is a screen capture from my video.

Videos are fine but we need data, numbers and a comprehensive performance analysis from the owner/driver. Lol. Did it haul ass? Hurt anything? Inquiring minds want to know….

  10. Four passes, never took the heads off, didn't hurt a thing.

Brian will have the data and a recap once he gets home and can decompress from the weekend.

That’s great! Yeah, I’ll bet he’s beat, nitro racing is a ton of work.

  12. I tried to blow it up. I'm going to use the pic as my screen saver. Thanks Justin.

  13. 20240818_143451.jpg This is the light up sign on I-94 Racine Co. It's hard to get a good pic looking into the sun. I'm going to take a pic in the evening. 20240818_144249.jpg

Many thanks for posting the videos - appreciated :)

Would love to see this thing run on a much darker track - nitro header flames are awesome.

    Cheers,

  17. I tried to put them in the proper sequence many times. It just won't let me. The last two are my favorites.

    Amen.

That third photo is absolutely beautiful. Would make a great HAMB calendar entry for whatever month Brian's birthday is.

  20. I didnt know they had a calender. Let the moderators know. Start a petition. I'm going to blow it up. There's about 100 more photos from Dennis Mothershed coming. I can't post them all but I will put a few of the better ones on here.

@Calkins - Thanks a bunch for posting the videos. Killer stuff. That Eddyville nitro deal has been on my radar for awhile, sure looks like a great weekend.

Hey I recognize that name - doesn't he have the "Rebel" (From Hell) AWB funny car? And some others? Pretty sure I saw him running a vintage S/S or A/FX car at the Meltdown a few years ago. Had no idea he was an accomplished drag racing photographer as well! Cool!!

  24. Correct. Same guy.

  25. I'm not happy with the et. It's off a half second at the eighth. We are going out one more time before nitro chaos. It's going back on the mag side without the grid. 45 degrees with no retard. The grid is the only thing I have changed and the cars off. When it all comes together watch out.
After the chaos we want to go to union grove and chase that 200 mph barrier. The season is coming to a close soon.

    Was the Data log used?
If So , Do You have set up to log timing?
Im just asking did you see what Grid was doing ...

    Also a Another question,
I Noticed Very Few had "Bags"&
You & many other did Not , Nor billet case
It does not really matter to me
    But Surprised not Required !!
    "" Bag ""

Especially Competition on a Big can tipping Load ,
When I went threw Tec , Tec try to deny
Me making passes because my Bag was out of date 2 years , Turn ugly ,a pissing match with Tec,, went to Royce M owner knowing Royce , of National event sanction track,
Argued my point, Not a National event
    Nor in Competition,
Out come was able to make runs

  27. Thanks Calkins for posting the ET and MPH under the videos,,,,,,really appreciated .
    That’s a beautiful machine,,,,,super fast too,,,,and It’s a Mopar coupe,,,,with a blown Nitro Hemi in it !

Great job Brian,,,,,the engine is powerful,,,,,and is staying together so far .
Nitro puts a ton of pressure on parts,,,,and if tuned incorrectly,,,,well ,you know the rest .
