I want to use a 33/34 front axle in my model A to lower it a couple inches. What do I have to change out to do that? I just want to lower the front and rear a bit . Leaving the rest pretty much stock for now .

I used a 36 and just had to put a washer in to make up the difference in the wishbone space.

  3. 33-36 is the same axle. Different wishbones. Model A perch width is 2-1/4 inches and 33-36 is 2 inches. It should be noted that functionally a 32 heavy and 33-36 axles are exactly the same. 32 heavies just have a different forging. The king pins, perch pin holes, and drop are all in the same locations.

Probably the bigger question is the brakes. Do you have juice or mechanical?

You can get 2 inches lower with the stock axle.

I removed a spring leaf to drop it further. You can also get the larger leafs re-profiled flatter.

    32-34 spindles.
32-34 perch pins bushed to accept model A shackle.
1/4” spacer for wishbone at axle.
Reverse eye spring. Remove leaves to taste.
Use existing kingpins and brake bits.

My coupe has a reversed eye flattened spring, and a 33-36 axle, 32 spindles and brakes.
The rear has a T spring.
    18" 32 rims, 475-18 front and 600/650-18 rears.
