'54 Bel Air post sedan, with 12volt converted factory column. Using aftermarket 2 part plug connecter, has 6 ports, 2 for front turn signals, 2 for rear turn signals, 1 for brake light switch. Leaving 1 RED cut-off wiring, No Information (Thanks WIRING GUY) I looked in my Kwik Wire book, my Wiring Poster and have found nothing. Was told to just hook the Red Wire UP... Hope someone will have an answer, Thanks, Dyno Dave 1954 Bel Air (2).jpg

Pic of the TSS itself, or at least the 6-pin plug(s) would be helpful here, too.

the last wire must go to the flasher can, so the turn signals can get power to flash the lights when you turn the switch on

Using a universal kit, in the process of trying sort out the unmarked wiring, verify correct attachment points where incorrect marked wiring was used and replace them correctly labeled ones. In the factory diagram the only red wire in that area goes to an unused factory ammeter, have gauges. This red wire goes to turn signal connection. Thanks dyno IMG_5684 (3).JPG

THANK YOU, you may have noticed that I'm NOT a wiring guy, they are hard to find around here.

    Yup.

We can help, but it also helps if you take pictures of the part of the car you're asking questions about! :)

Squirrel came through with the answer, wire to flasher can. Thanks for your reply, dyno IMG_6038 (3).JPG

  9. Keep the turn signal bell tight and adjusted close to the steering wheel. Just about 1/8 . The screw and wedge in the bell hold it in place.

Grab an Allen screw to replace the Phillips head ... the Phillips is impossible to keep tight.

and the more you tighten that screw, the more egg shaped the (pot metal) housing gets, which leads to things not working right, as the switch moves around.
