Well I took a road trip this weekend and picked up a pair of 41 merc front fenders and grille for my pickup. Met some Hamb'ers had a great trip. Just gotta say if your looking for something there is lots out in saskatchewan canada at the golden oldies tin farm. Just get ahold of fordnutz and he might have what you need. Even has lots of hubcaps and trim, headlight rings, radios, and hood ornaments. Just might take a little while to sort through it all :)

Thanks Pat for the tour and i'll probably be makin another trip or two in the future.

  2. Eric, good to see you made it home ok. 9 hours is a long haul. After looking on your site at the cowl of your truck, maybe we should have cut off the cowl sides of the 41 Merc to make mounting the fenders easier. If you need it let me know and I can hack it off. I can bus stuff like that to you. Pat.

Oh how I would love to have one or two of those T bodies. To bad shipping would be rediculous to Illinois.

Hey pat thats a good idea. I didnt think about that at all. Anyway I propped them up after work tonight for fun. Its different and gonna be a project but im liking it. I Think i still have the sides that I cut off of my original front fenders that I may fab in there to make mounting easier.

Now for others opinions Im gonna have to do something to get the wheels where they should be in the fenders. Should I shorten the fenders and move them back or lengthen my wheel base? Whats your opinions...either way is possible.

  7. I would have to see a better side view, but I think lengthing the frame is the best, but not the easiest way. Becaise the fenders fade away at the front, I don't think moving the wheel well back would look rite. Maybe take a pic of the side and cut it up to change the wheel well to see how it looks. Get someone on here to photoshop the wheel well back towards the cab to center the wheel. Let me know if you want the cowl sides. Just pay the shipping. Pat.

I would vote for changing the wheel base. I really like to look.
