so any of you guys ever worked with buffalo bone? the shaping and polishing of it?

 

Working any natural material such as bone,shell,antler can be very hazardous to your health! A good respirator is a must and if you are doing any extensive grinding, l would strongly recommend a protective suit. Grinding bone gives off a noxious odor that is quite nauseating and the dust can infiltrate your nostrils and eyes causing severe discomfort. When l first started using bone to make knife handles, l experienced this.
