Love the thread on the other side, so a thread for OT stuff. I’ll start with this one, sitting at work, never seen it before, but I think the guy that owns it also drives a mean Fox Body on a regular basis. Nice driver.
Well, nothing fancy. Just a " neighbor next door" 4 door sedan. Just looking at the vintage shots thread, cars like this 4 door sedan were everywhere at one time. Its a Dodge!
Saw this in the parking lot at work recently. Turns out the guys other car is a Tesla that he hauled a trailer with to go pick up the blown small block. I wish I could have seen that.
Good idea. I’m going to cheat right away, as this was a few weeks ago but the coolest o/t stuff I’ve seen recently. We had a Reliable Carriers truck dropping off a customers project, and the truck was filled with 4 brand new Lamborghini Revueltos on the way to the dealership in Dallas, and a really nice mid-‘70’s 911 targa. The Lambos barely fit on the truck ramp, not 2” of room outside the tire to the ramps lip…they are huge.
Just go to a car show in Canada. Yesterday I saw "Smokey & the bandido" and "Rockford " in one place . As well as Subarus , an '83 pontiac wagon, a late 70s Lincoln with 4x4 diffs and 22" donk (dork) wheels .brand new jacked up trucks ,2 of which still had the window sheets in place as a badge of honor of how much they paid for it. Remember Minnie Pearl's hat? One guy with a "rat" rod decorated with gingerbread items from every make was extolling at how wonderful all the " diversity" was.
The older I get the more I can appreciate these odd hot rods. When I was a teenager or young adult I looked at this stuff like a snob not realizing the amount of creativity and effort that goes into some like a T bucket to make it different then everyone elses.
318 car, May have a 360 crate in it, haven’t seen under the hood. Body panels, interior look all original and paint may be original too, if not it’s an older repaint. Straight looking car, hope it makes an appearance at a future show.
Neighbor across the street had one just as nice in the same color and top in a more-door back in the 70’s until about 1984. It had a 318 but sounded like it had something bigger. He wouldn’t sell to me. He had a thing about not selling cars to friends.
One I saw a while back, before we had this forum. Real Superbird, factory 440-4bbl car but running a 6bbl setup. Nice solid all original body panel car, very nice driver. I Ended up helping him do a parking lot repair (minor) and fixed his tach too (wiring). Really nice guy, driven often View attachment 6185575
A Bodies are nice little drivers. Should have ticked him off so he would sell it to you as an enemy, then rekindled the friendship the following day .
When I was younger I desperately wanted an E46 BMW coupe, but never liked the E36. I have really started to warm up to them though. I spotted this blue M3 convertible and the silver one yesterday in the Denver area, both with the really cool hardtops.
^The last 2 cars might have a similar value if a Hemi would be involved. Saw a '70 SS Chevelle yesterday. That bumper pad grabbed my eye from pretty far back.
Saw a few cars Saturday…a couple hundred to be exact. Some on-topic, but lots OT as well. And, I suppose you even get to see me in this video. I’m the goofball that Travis interviews near the beginning…
This pump gas (93 octane) chevelle has dipped into the 5's at our local 1/8 mile, it was at the Breast Cancer Awareness show today
Saw this today on vacation in New Mexico at Bandolier National park he was at the Silver State Run in AZ. Drove from West Virginia with his wife wife motorcycle headsets to hear each other. Daytona 65 coupe from factory 5 which is a half hour from my home. Cool day. If I were to guess there were in there early 70s
