My friend and I IMG_2335.jpeg tried to make this 32 stand out from the sea of roadsters. Its hard to make a 32 roadster unique without ruining it. Big Lincoln flathead, no drop in the axle, bobbed fenders and not color matching the frame. I like it, and it fells a little unique to me.

I searched a few sites with Kingdon history right into the mid fifties but didn't find anything on that but there was some pretty cool stuff with some notable rides.

There's been a few road racing Hotrods. @Pete1 used to road race a 32 Ford 3 window. The Jimmy Summers/Max/Vogel 32 Roadster was road raced as well...there was another too, a Model A Roadster, Art Engel?.

Those fellas were competing with the European rides. They really pushed those too...not to mention great looking rides...all featured within this Thread several times...

Is that what you were thinking Dart4...

I hope those fellas all made it back to enjoy what they left behind when all hell broke loose...that windshield looks to have been made higher due to the deep channel. It also looks to have just cutouts rather than doors...perhaps jeep inspired.

    Always liked that ole pic...

There may be some Jeep influence with the windshield too. Cool picture!

@Spooky shared this pic he was gifted by an old Hotrod Fan in the Thread above...pics are one of the greatest tools for building to period...I've noted many looks go back a lot further than one imagines. I'm eyeballing that Orange Chopped Coupe behind the Track Nose Roadster and noting it being so low the tires are at or just above the quarters...we see it a lot these days and I used to think it was a newer phenomenon...nope...

When I was a kid in Texas there was a '32 Plymouth roadster on our farm. My uncle had fixed it up and the first night he drove it to town some guys that didn't like him messed with it. He got it home and got his 3 older brothers. They messed up the guys. Uncle Blake never drove it again. I played in it and had always thought I'd fix it up. Times were tough. One day I came home from school to find my dad had cut it up for scrap along with a Model A pickup, '41 Dodge sedan. a couple of tractors and a bunch of farm equipment. It barely paid for the gas for the torch.

Highboy A Roadster…that looks like a channeled roadster…certainly not a cookie cutter build!
Like to see some chassis pics. Super low stance, super low seating, with a hemi…what’s not to like!

  17. I've seen this one in person. I also thought it was channeled until I saw it again in the Kansas City Autorama. It's really nice. I told my buddy the one car I'd take home out of everything at the Autorama would be the black channeled Roadster with the Hemi. I went and looked at it again, and realized it isn't channeled.
