The airplane shaped sign in the background was for a restaurant that was near 55th St and Cicero Ave. right across from Midway Airport. Never ate at that restaurant but I’ve flown out of Midway a number of times, it’s a square mile, surrounded by residential and light industry. Some consider it “white knuckle” and won’t fly from there.
Elvis and his 1955 Messerschmitt KR200, he later traded it to his tailer Hal Lansky for a shopping spree in the Lansky men’s clothing store. The car still exists today.
