Hot Rods New deuce Vicky owner

Today was a paint day on the Vicky. Sprayed the firewall with Wimbledon white and kind of looks more yellow then white but it definitely matches the body colour…lighting. Jeremy Mang #victoryrodandcustom repaired the drivers side kick out that the po had cut out for the steering column install. He also ground down the welds from the modification when the nailhead was installed again by the po. Painted all the front end parts and the Okie Joe axle was tweaked as it was not straight in a couple measurements.

 

Today was dash day on the Vicky. #victoryrodandcustom managed to massage the 3 window dash to fit closer to the windshield plus welded the inset for the 1934 Buick instrument panel. Long day and he will finish it up on Monday. Intentions are to complete the front axle install, bleed the brakes, put the nailhead and Tremec 5 speed back in so it can leave as he has other projects patiently waiting.

Steering is done and getting it back together. Engine and transmission install tomorrow

 

The Vicky is back home after a long visit to #victoryrodandcustom for much needed work. The plan is to finish it to the point of driving so it can make it to Ocean Park Ford in September. Very happy with all,the work and hours Jeremy Mang put in to get it back on the road.

 

Lots of loose ends to tie up and the 34 Buick panel is in. Not liking the black paint and will rethink what to do once my new garage is finished and I have a better place to work on it.

 

New garage equals bigger workspace. Tackling some wiring issues

 

3 window dash is painted and back in the Vicky. Next task is to sort through the wiring.
