I actually got the transmission last week. A833 hemi 4 speed crash box built by liberty. It has the adapter plate for a sbc.

Ultra cool. Beautiful car, I'm surprised Koopmeiners let that one go! Olds rear?

Really dig those headers in the original pics.

Yes it is. 35 spline with a 5:42 spool. I can’t wait to get all of the shit lettered off the car! More important things to do first though. I have those original headers in the photos. I’ll take some pictures tomorrow

I found this under the front seat of the car last week. The original push bar. I will have it re chromed- and put back in the car. I’m a sucker for push bars! IMG_5785.jpeg

I finally found the Hilborn injection I was after. It will get restored along with the correct length stacks ect. I need a set of original Hilborn 6a nozzles if anyone has a set. Mike at alky digger says the modern ones will not work with this set up.

Early photos of the car before it was finished. I have a few more I’ll have to transfer to the phone. The original owner of the car Wes Sodeman actually called me last week. Pretty cool to learn the story of it.

Sure was, and it still had the front frame stub and A frames from the looks of things.

Please don’t forget the R from RB, Dennis Rollain was every bit the genius Lil John was, maybe more. He kept building quality innovative race cars, he just didn’t get the ink Lil did (no disrespect to John intended)

It did have a Pontiac in it early 60s. It ran a Muncie 4 speed, then changed to a torque flight and I believe he said a th400 with a clutch. It eventually ran a 301ci injected small block. Wes said at one point the car had a mini radiator that he took off a generator but had no photos.

Wow! That front suspension set up is way different than anything I have seen. Thanks for the pics.

Time capsule for sure, love it. .... Quarter-Elliptic suspension were done quite frequently, because they work.
I built 2 of my own cars with them years ago.

I've only seen that done on rear suspensions. I think Big John Mazmania's willy's gasser was done like that i could be wrong.

No progress on the 56 unfortunately. I have been working on getting my little pickup cleaned up and back on the road. A buddy of mine is building the bed “I’m not that talented” lol. I’ll hopefully be back on the car sooner then later.
