Well,... Tomorrow I'm dragging home a car that I've had in storage far too long,.. It;s been kind of a back burner project that for some reason I haven't been able to work up motivation/drive to get going on.
I guess with age and all the things in life that have to take priority, some well intended projects get moth-balled, (for years,... sometimes decades).
Last year I helped my Son and Grandson with cars they were trying to get done for St.Ignace (not HAMB friendly cars). And found out in the process I don't have the strength and stamina I use to have
We got the cars done for there maiden voyage just under the wire. I also took a car so we had a three generation run to St.Ignace (also not HAMB friendly.. A 62 Ranchero with a drive-train out of a Turbo Coupe) ....
When we got back I had started making plans to make time to finish up this project car. The goal is to try to get it on the road for St.Ignace 2025.

With all of that said,... Not everybody, but some of us have projects that are languishing,.. collecting dust, ignored, Etc. with plans to get back on them someday... Well... Lets see them !

Who knows,.... This might be going across the Mighty Mac next year,.... Or not....

    Here's mine,... lets see yours...

****** DISCLAIMER, HAVING A ISSUE WITH INSERTING A PICTURE, WILL UPLOAD ONE WHEN I GET IT FIGURED OUT,.. SORRY*****

A few short years back,I had to face fact,I'm too old an bizzy just keeping my running much older hotrod Bobtailed Ford A,going, an helping my my Son on his 23T. So put it up for sale. Still have the Hup.
    OPEN FOR OFFERS ;;
I already sold off the 2 big Ford 390s,still have 53 Merc FH w pick-up tranny/tall shifter,,and a few OHV V8 Ford Y's. As engine to go with parts.

IMG_7092.jpeg IMG_7093.jpeg I am trying to get started on this again… 1955 olds, Needs everything. Rebuilding the 324, have a th400 to replace the hydro that left me stranded on a hot date over 10 years ago. Going with Tri power, and modified heads to hop it up just a little.

  5. All but 3 in my signature are stalled, need more time and space (the motivation will come when those are met). Plus a '36 5W long stalled.......I figure soonish I'll be back on track.

The '36 I didn't start a thread on so here it is.

Start (Pile o' parts thrown together):

As it sits now under wraps waiting it turn again (and when the garage had way less equipment in it). shop 180.jpg

This is my next future project. Looks pretty good from a distance, but it is a giant pile of shit.

  7. Was working on this Econo van, then had back surgery in April, kind of lost interest in it for a while. Hopefully can get back on it this winter.

My Topolino was started around 2015, there is a build thread on here. I pushed it aside to build my 31 coupe, also a build thread on here, now its been pushed aside again for my 34 coupe build, you guessed it, another build thread on here. The main reason for not finishing is the cost involved in racing, and the lack of track close by. The hot rods can be used more often - bang for buck I suppose. I plan to finish one day. IMG_20240907_122233425.jpg This Aussie T roadster was a purchase of opportunity last year, it fits in the Plans, Dreams & Delusions list, so it stays, just not sure exactly where it fits yet? The plan is a Gow Job with Banger running gear

Ive started dragging the future startings of a 28/29 roadster home the last few weekends, and my first non GM car! Free 59A-B with trans, free body, free front and rear axles, steering, suspension. I have some other cars to finish first so im holding off getting a frame for it to keep myself from really doing anything serious with it other than oggle and start collecting parts in the backroom of the home garage. Plans are for a very low buck with full fenders to bop around in since my current personal project '37 Buick coupe is getting nicer than i was originally planning

My 1948 Ford sedan, future project after I finish my A rpu build.
Trial fitted a 351w c4 combo, which fits really nicely. Then put aside too gather parts to progress.

Was used as a parts car, before the previous owner purchased it in 1979 with grand plans, then put it in a barn. That's where it stayed until I bought it last year.

  19. IMG_4480.JPG Looking forward to starting on this, bought a year and a half ago, then a move, etc.

  20. My Model A vintage stock car 261 Chevy engine, there was horsepower war in the class I was building for.
Things are back under control, and I have started working on the car again.

A year ago May I began a total restoration on my 62 Willys 4x4 pickup, then in June I began a remodel of our kitchen, ya
In November I finally realized I couldn’t do both. duh
    So
With the body off and only the floor of the bed remaining on the chassis I stopped working on the truck. Ironically the bed floor is made of 1/4 plate welded to C channel.
It has made the perfect work bench for the kitchen project

    IMG_2029.jpeg

good news is the kitchen should be completed by the end of September and I’ll be back on the truck.

Well not stalled anymore but I bought the body at an auction in 2000, mocked it up with a flathead and shoved it in the spare stall where it sat for 19 years. During that time I built my B motored 30 pickup, rescued a 50 Ford Tudor and revived it, painted a 31 Model A for a friends dad, painted my son's Mustang and built my mild custom 60 Thunderbird. Finally finished the Sport Coupe about four years ago and decided it was my last car but then bought a 29 Roadster Pickup.

32 years into the restoration I keep stalling and would rather go drive a Model A somewhere
Maybe this should go in the home driveway paint job thread....I guess I'll get back on it this winter after the kitchen re-do

I was held up from doing any actual building for a while. But it did give me time to plan and scheme and gather parts.
    Good luck to everybody.

My 303 is in piston jail so the 35 is pushed into a corner waiting the rocket. Once that's done the 20 pluse year project will be finally ready for its first drive in many decades. 20240901_130412.jpg

Only thing I have that I might do some day is my late son’s 82 F100 stepside pickup. Got a good running 460 C6 in a E350 van motor home I may yank out and stick in it. I robbed the 5.0 roller cam motor and it’s in my Lincoln. May not ever do anything with the pickup. Got plenty of time, just no energy to even drag it out from its parking spot in the field. Really don’t know if I even want to start building anything anymore. If I don’t start on it, it doesn’t count as not being worked on, does it?
