I have a set of Dolphin gauges for my 53 bel air. I tried installing them from behind the dash ( Bezel - dash - gauges) and then in between the bezel and the dash ( Bezel - gauges - dash) both don't fit well and have big gaps. Do i need to modify the dash? Not sure what I'm missing but any help would be appreciated.

  2. Any pics of what you're working with?

If their in a panel then they should go between dash and bezel.

Is the panel also the bezel? Pictures will help a lot.

IMG_1430.jpeg IMG_0039.png I recently did theirs & yes you’ll need to cut off wheel a little of the top portion & speedo area as I did your dash in “green” leaving the shape of holes for attachment . & work the reinforced area of spot weld off by wiggling with pliers & it’ll come off leaving a flat smooth surface “flush mounting” the bezel

Yes ,like flux capacitor said . I had to trim my dash to install the bosses aluminum insert with Classic instrument gauges .Not much ,and then it just fit .But I went slow with little cuts to make sure it was still a tight fit .

NICE!! That's what I used also , a small Sawzall, like butter . Turned out good!? Mine was harder to wire gauges than put the gauge cluster in . I would wire all gauges first if I did again .
