Would anyone be able to do a quick measurement of a Deuce grille for me? I'd like the width (left to right, are the bars round?) of the grille bars as well as the space between the bars.

    Thanks

The grille sides are not parallel and the dimensions shown in the photo will be minus an eight of an inch as there is a small lip where the grille rests against the shell. The bars are .110, formed from 23 ga. (.027) sheet stock on a press brake.

All dimensions were taken from a Dale’s Manufacturing reproduction grille. The Dale’s is no longer available.

Thanks a lot for these details. Can you also tell me the distance between the bars?

On my Dales grill they're spaced at 0.25".

By contrast, on a Vintique the bars are slightly narrower and the gaps slightly wider. Not really different so as to be noticeable.

I understand the Dales is a faithful reproduction. I no longer have a stock ford one to check that against.

There are 43 grille bars. Easy to remember - Richard Petty number.

If you have any CAD software I've got an AutoCAD drawing, done from measurements from an actual shell. I can send you .dwg or .dxf; metric or Imperial.

I can make use of any CAD file you’re able to provide. The plan is to fab a 32-like grille for a Model A with an extended grille shell
