Wow, a reminder how popular smoking cigarettes were when I was young. I went to high school in the 70s, so Rockabilly was pretty much dead, it didn't come back until the 80s with the Straycats, IMO. But smoking was very popular when I was in high school, and I smoked since 9th grade, middle school. I quit smoking cigarettes for my grandmother when I was 18 oops, as my grandfather had been diagnosed with cancer of the vocal cords. My grandmother had been diagnosed with cancer of the lymph nodes (she didn't smoke). Do any of you still smoke cigarettes? Many people smoked from the 50 all the way up to this day, even though many have passed. An ex-roommate of mine is 75, been smoking since he was a teenager, and just got diagnosed with a lump in his lungs. He just finished using the patches. I hope they can save him.
