It blows my mind just how tough these old cars were, a old acronym for DODGE - Dem Old Dudes Go Everywhere. HRP
I think I know of the video, was a trip to watch. Is it the one the two guys had to get the thing up and off its side? Heading to sleep now, don’t have time to watch it.
Thanks for sharing! Helps explain why the fenders on these old vehicles often seem so beat. Also, amazing demonstration of what you can do with a company car.
Those "roads" remind me of 3+ miles of Rt 214 here in the Catskills I have to take to get to "town" in my 5-window. I have to keep putting parts back on it after they fall off. I hate the county for the condition they have let a major tourist attraction in these beautiful mountains get to!
Oh! The good ole days. I remember my grandpa saying you can take them good ole days and stickem up your ****.
Just an observation: tall, skinny tires, high ground clearance, certainly not overpowered, and no limited slip.
Hey, Danny. Heeheeheeheehee... I love that video. Almost makes me wanna keep my 4dr Dodge just the way it is. Almost.
That reminds me of **** hunting with my dad as a kid. We went everywhere in a 2WD 1964 F100. I can still hear that 223 singing as we bounced from rut to rut. To quote my dad... “ We went everywhere before we found out we had to have a 4 wheel drive.” One thing to keep in mind..... That old Dodge could not do that today on a trail rutted out and destroyed by 4x4s. Once the lifted and big tired 4x4s rut out the road, that’s the only thing that can go through there after that.
Haven’t worked for the last couple years, but some of the oilfield roads are not much better now than back then
I wonder how many 4 wheel drive stock trucks today could go through the same course? My guess is none.
