I use a generic chassis grease that I get from my local auto parts store on my '46 Station Wagon. It has a Chassis Engineering, dropped tube axle, with Ford kingpins and bushings. Anybody recommend anything better?
Been using this stuff for the last 5 or so years at work on king pins , forklift and loader articulation pins etc . Works great with the moly and tacifiiers in it . not so good on wheel bearings and fast moving parts , there we use a blue tinted grease with the same properties as Lukas red n tacky .
I've been using the green marine stuff used on boat trailer wheels, for my kingpins. It doesn't seem to be affected by moisture.
Any name-brand should be fine. I believe I have a Castrol tube in my gun right now. I also use one of those mini grease guns, I take what I can find for that little gem.
