OT car [we drag it out of the garage once every 4 months]

 

Our 66 Suburban had a couple repaints plus some sketchy sheet metal repairs so in the 90's I decided to take it all down (it's still in bare metal), using aircraft stripper.
A Suburban roof is f#@king huge and my wife took mercy on me and saved the day, says she'll never do that again.
I got lucky and found two NOS fenders in factory primer and everything with hinges got chemically dipped, this was before repro Suburban sheet metal came on the scene, the sketchy quarter panel got replaced with the one that was available for pickups, relocated the gas fill to behind the taillight.

 

I would post , but afraid someone would know the guy , it would blow my cover

 

I've had the girl for 50 years. And the Vette now for 55.

 

My wife doing what she does best at another rod run, this time with the most recent addition to the toy box. We have been married for 54 years and I have had the green Plymouth in my avatar for 51 years. We got married in 1971 and our first vacation was to the Detroit Street Rod Nationals in 1972. She has the patience of a saint. She also hates this photo of her.

 

I met my wife only after the Morris Minor had gone into storage, so no pics of her with any on-topic car of mine. Besides, being a keen photographer, she's usually on the other side of the camera.
We both married late in life. It'll have been 15 years in July.

 

I met my better half in '84... She died last month of cancer... R.I.P Mary....

I’m sorry to hear that. Cancer sucks but you know that already. I lost my dad to it in May.

My Wife has stage 4 breast cancer that has metastasized....Cancer Sucks!
